’t Strandhuisje sleeps 4 and is fully equipped. Enjoy the sunny garden, stroll straight down to the water’s edge, or head out for a cycle, a walk or some water sports. Ouddorp and the Zeeland coast are also wonderfully close by.

‘t Strandhuisje has been furnished with great care and love and is equipped with all modern conveniences.

DESCRIPTION
Our charming holiday cottage, fully renovated in 2025, is situated on the edge of the leafy, small-scale bungalow park De Herkingse Zeedijk. The cottage is situated directly behind the sea dyke, with Lake Grevelingen and Herkingen beach just around 230 metres away.

From the living room, dining area and sunny back garden, you can look out over the green sea dyke, where sheep regularly stroll past. ’t Strandhuisje has been furnished with great care and is suitable for up to 4 people and a child up to around 3 years old.

SLEEPING
The cottage has two bedrooms. The ground-floor bedroom has a comfortable 160 × 200 cm box-spring bed with a mattress topper. Upstairs, there is a 140 × 200 cm box-spring bed with a mattress topper. Both beds are fitted with a double duvet and pillows. The upstairs bedroom has space for a camp bed (provided).
Bed linen and towels are included in your stay, so you don’t need to bring your own.

LIVING
ROOM The cosy living room has a spacious three-seater sofa and a comfortable armchair. From the living room, you can enjoy lovely views of the garden and the dyke.
The open fireplace adds to the atmosphere in the living room, but is purely decorative and cannot be used during your stay.

There is a Philips Smart TV with KPN TV. You can use your favourite apps and stream content from your phone to the television. Free Wi-Fi is, of course, available.

KITCHEN & DINING
AREA The new kitchen is fully equipped with a 4-ring induction hob, a dishwasher, a combi-oven/microwave and a spacious retro fridge with a freezer compartment.

In addition, there is a Senseo coffee machine, kettle, air fryer, toaster, hand blender and sandwich toaster/grill, amongst other things. Naturally, you’ll find plenty of crockery, cutlery, glasses, pans and cooking utensils. Oil, salt and pepper are also provided.

The dining table seats four people. It’s a lovely spot for a leisurely meal, a game or simply enjoying the view of the garden.

BATHROOM
The modern bathroom features a shower with a thermostatic mixer tap, a toilet, a designer radiator, a washbasin unit and a mirror cabinet.

GARDEN & TERRACE
The sunny south-facing back garden overlooks the dyke. The terrace has a garden table with six chairs and a parasol. For barbecue enthusiasts, a Weber BBQ is provided.

The ditch behind the garden is fenced off.

The wooden shed contains two additional adjustable garden chairs with cushions. You can also store your bikes here safely and out of the rain.

PARKING
You can park your car right next to the cottage on the private driveway. For a second car, there is another private parking space in the park, about 50 metres away.

SURROUNDINGS
From ’t Strandhuisje, you can walk straight to Lake Grevelingen. Herkingen is also a great base for trips to places such as Ouddorp, Middelharnis, Bruinisse, Zierikzee, Renesse, Brielle and the Zeeland islands.
